Make sure you include your hunting knife in your” not to forget” list along with your gun, shells, chair, bed roll, knife sharpner, tent, etc. Your hunting knife should always be very sharp. The bigger the animal the more cutting you will have to do. You might find that you will need to resharpen the knife as you go.
You will be happy that you paid a little more for a good quality hunting knife that holds its edge while in use. Hunting for deer, hogs, elk or other big game animal you will find that your quality hunting knives are worth their weight in gold.
